Bring Safe Water
to 50 Karachi Families with Solar Power
Help us install a small off‑grid solar system that will keep a community borewell running 24 hours a day, providing clean water to more than 50 homes in Karachi, Pakistan. Your gift—no matter the size—brings reliable water, safety, and dignity to hundreds of neighbors.
With the help of friends and family we recently drilled a deep‑water borewell in my friend’s underserved neighborhood in Karachi.
The well is already a blessing—but pumping water 400 ft up to the surface takes a lot of electricity. In this part of Karachi the grid is only on about 4 random hours each day, making it nearly impossible for families to fill their rooftop tanks. Some residents have even resorted to risky, illegal hookups just to power the well pump.
To fix this, we plan to install a 1 kW solar‑powered system that will:
Run the borewell pump all day.
Supply clean water to 50+ households whenever they need it.
Eliminate dangerous makeshift wiring.
Cut monthly electricity costs, freeing limited income for food, school, and healthcare.
